With challenges splashing us at the face left, right and center, there is a high tendency to drown in self pity and sadness. A lot of us see nothing good to laugh about.
But here are some few tips that might help you give laughing a shot; especially with regards to your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Laughter makes you feel good. And the good feeling that you get when you laugh remains with you even after the laughter subsides.
Laughter gives you the courage and strength to find new sources of meaning and hope. Even in the most difficult of times, a laugh–or even simply a smile–can go a long way toward making you feel better.
Laughter too is contagious: Mere sight of people laughing prompts you to join the laughter and share in the fun except you are a killjoy.
Laughter dissolves distressing emotions. You will agree with me that at the moment of laughter, anger, pain, anxiety and sadness runs to hiding. So, if you wanna give these negative emotions a permanent kick to the gutters? then laugh often!
Laughter helps you relax and recharge. This has helped me a lot especially when I don’t seem to be making headway in carrying out an action.
Laughter is said to have been tested to create bond between people. If you want to ease the tension between your friends and you, or you are looking for the best way to heal resentments towards someone, then you need the “laugh” antidote. It works faster than anything.
If you ask me, i would say we need more of laughing folks in our society. Negative emotions are getting too much in the streets. People wear frowns more than smiles. It seems some folks have even forgotten how to position their face to laugh. A whole of lot factors could be attributed to the “inability to have a good laugh” but they are not to be given the chance to deprive us of a sound spirit, soul and body!
It is said that laughing with people is better than laughing alone. So here are a few things that I do that initiates a good laugh.
It may be that your environment was not one that encouraged this medicine, but you can learn it at any stage of your life.
How do you achieve this?
I hope this helps someone move in the right direction!
